Welcome—and thank you for finding your way here.

This website is many things: a home for my book Beyond Material Salvation, a hub for my music releases, a space for podcast conversations to come, and a place to explore what it means to live authentically in a world bent on performance. If it feels like those things don’t usually belong together—law, philosophy, insolvency, music—you’re already beginning to understand what this project is about.

Because life isn’t cleanly segmented. Neither are we.

In my book, Beyond Material Salvation, I explore how the burden of debt—financial, social, moral—is more than a spreadsheet problem. It’s a deeply personal and spiritual crisis for many. And in our modern world, it’s not simply our creditors we fear disappointing—it’s what Professor Hans-Georg Moeller calls the general peer.

Moeller’s concept of the general peer is one of the most important ideas I’ve encountered in recent years. Unlike the old hierarchical systems of authority—kings, priests, bosses, fathers—we now live under the gaze of a more ambiguous, disembodied authority. The general peer is everyone and no one. It’s the imagined audience of our Instagram posts, our credit scores, our résumés, and our curated identities. It demands that we be visible, productive, performative, and—above all—liked.

The general peer doesn’t punish with prison or exile. It punishes with irrelevance.

And so, many of us live in quiet terror of being ordinary. We chase authenticity the way we once chased salvation—hoping that through hustle, content, or cleverness, we’ll finally earn the dignity we’re afraid we never had.

This website is my response to that condition. It is not a brand. It is not a funnel. It is not a mask.

It’s a place where I want to be useful—whether that’s through the raw truth of insolvency law, the philosophical inquiry behind debt morality, a piece of music that moves you, or a jiu jitsu insight that helps you endure pressure and adapt. These are all connected. They are all ways we metabolize the chaos of being human.

You’ll find blogs here that range from the deeply personal to the rigorously academic. You’ll find sound. You’ll find silence. And eventually, you’ll find conversations—through a podcast that seeks to rescue sincerity from irony and attention-seeking.

I’m not trying to impress the general peer anymore. I’ve tried. It didn’t end well.

Instead, I’m trying to build something slower and truer—a space for the human being behind the credentials, behind the debt, behind the feed.

If that resonates with you, stay close. I’m glad you’re here.
